June 30, 2009: Two local hospitals win awards for women's care: HealthGrades has recognized Galichia Heart Hospital and Via Christi Regional Medical Center with its women's health excellence awards. The Wichita hospitals are two of three in Kansas and 169 nationwide to be recognized with the 2009-10 awards. Hospitals that receive this award rank among the top 5 percent of all hospitals nationwide for providing women's care in medicine cardiovascular procedures and bone and joint health.
